This Genuine U.S. Government Issue Balaclava is designed for use in extreme conditions as part of the Extreme Cold Weather Clothing System (ECWS) Gen II. Constructed from 2 layers of Nomex with a layer of Gore-Tex sandwiched between them, this balaclava provides flash protection and is also a barrier to the elements. windproof, Waterproof, and Fire Resistant, it is also breathable, and provides full head coverage and a long bib for neck protection. It also features a face open with pull tab for placement variations.
